Dr. Peter Henein is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who was born and raised in New Jersey. He developed an interest in the dental profession during high school and college while working in a dental office, where he appreciated the focus on precise hand skills and personalized patient care. This experience led him to pursue a career in dentistry.
Dr. Henein attended dental school at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey. During his time there, he was exposed to the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery, which solidified his decision to become a surgeon. After completing dental school, he undertook a General Practice Residency at Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey, followed by his surgical training at Rutgers.
Throughout his training, Dr. Henein gained extensive experience in performing complex surgical procedures, including zygomatic implants, full arch rehabilitation, and emergency facial trauma cases. He has a strong dedication to providing quality patient care and performing precise and detail-oriented procedures. Dr. Henein also keeps up with advancements in surgical technology to ensure that his patients receive the best possible treatment.
Dr. Henein is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the New Jersey Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, and the New Jersey Dental Association. He believes in the importance of professional development and mentorship, and therefore, he serves as a mentor to aspiring dentists and oral and maxillofacial surgeons.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Henein enjoys traveling internationally with his wife and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He is also a fan of the New York Giants football team and enjoys playing basketball, reading, and grilling during the summertime.
