Dr. Barry Elbaum founded the practice over 55 years ago and is now retired enjoying life with family, extensive traveling, and attending Broadway shows.

Dr. Barry Elbaum graduated from New York University College of Dentistry and completed his four year Oral Surgery Specialty Training Program at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Dr. Elbaum recently retired as Chairman of the Department of Dentistry at Monmouth Medical Center where he has been Chairman for the past thirty years.  He now serves as Senior Consultant to the Dental Department.  Dr. Elbaum is a past President of the Monmouth/Ocean County Dental Society and has served as Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Jersey Shore Medical center, CentraState Medical Center and Monmouth Medical Center.

He is a Fellow of both the American and International Societies of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology and a

Fellow and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He founded the Dental Education Program at Monmouth Medical Center.

As Chairman of the Dental Department at Monmouth Medical Center, Dr. Barry Elbaum was the recipient of the Pinnacle Award from the Center.  This is the highest honor to be bestowed on a member of the dental profession and the Medical-Dental Staff.

Dr. Elbaum shares partnership in his family practice with offices located in Ocean, Freehold, Hazlet and Jackson.  He founded the Practice and has been caring for area families for more than 40 years.  In July 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 oral surgeons of COMS received recognition by their peers in the New Jersey Monthly Magazine as “Top Dentists”.

In addition to oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Elbaum’s special interests include dental implants, biopsies, impacted wisdom teeth and medically compromised patients.
